SWEET!! those Case rotary hoes sure work better than the other brands of the same vintage units I have ( IHC and MM ) much more weight and really seem to "break up" the crust better thanks for posting cnt

Nice looking outfit, doing a good job of crust bustin. Holy cow you have some tall corn, ours is about 4 in. Rod.

Yes,as others had commented you have some nice corn,and enjoy seeing the old girls out working,to me the letter generation of tractors says so much more about then,more farmers,better towns,churches,and a better lunch in your lunch kit!
Thanks for showing us

Dad got in a couple of those about the same width, that were painted Flambeau Red. Im not sure whether they were a warehouse closout at the Syracuse Branch or what. They sat stacked up and stored in an old barn on the farm, and were never sold. People thought they would take out the crop as well as weeds. Crust busting wasn't on their minds back then. I always looked forward to the then, long trip to Syracuse to pick up parts and machinery. The best part was when Dad would get with "old Joe Horton" the warehouse mgr. and he would take us out to the warehouse to look over all the "bargans" and Dad would pick out what he wanted, plus what he came for. I remember seeing the new 300s, 400s, and 500s lined up in the warehouse. The little VA tug, with the train cars hooked to the back fastinated me. When Dad went to get a new tractor, they would push them around with it using a push bar, as the bats. were dry. They also had a VAI with a front loader and gib pole to lift plow parts etc. There might have been a fork lift of some sort there, but it didn't make an impression on me.
Enough rambling for now,
Loren

Someone must have taken that one appart as the wheels are on backwards. Try it the other way around sometime.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
DKase;
I put the hitch on backwards to run over my potatoes.With the hitch on correctly it was throwing potatoes over my head!!!The tines would spear the potatoes and throw them!!!With an impact wrench and my son helping it only takes a few minutes to switch the hitch from one end to the other.
Loren;
Keep telling those stories from back in the day,I would have liked to been there when the NEW 300 and 400 tractors came out!!!!!!!!

Case Nutty;
It was kinda funny,I was in 3rd gear wide open and they were landing on the hood and one hit me in the head!!! I made one pass,got off replanted the ones I could find and then headed to the shop to swap the hitch around!!!!!!
