Question about ownership

I have my Super C in having some repairs to the transmission and rear drive assembly. He has purchased some parts from a salvage yard called
All States tractor parts. He also said that they had purchased the rights to this web site and the parts business. Living out in Kansas, I have never heard of this company as I buy my parts off this site. Anybody know anything about this? I looked them up on the internet and they have huge salvage yards full anything that deals with farm equipment.

See attached press release from Jan. 19, 2021. If you want to see what was said about it here you could go to ..Site Comments.. and work back to posts made in that time frame to find what YT support ..Kim.. posted about it. I think there may have been a post about it on Tractor Talk as well.
YT owner change info

Interesting. I have followed both sites for quite a while and, so far, I have not seen any difference in their (Farmall) offerings. Could we expect site changes any time soon?

If you look at the date of the press release Jan. 19, 2021 it
is before you joined as a member and maybe you were just
a reader prior to that. My understanding and I hope this
information is correct, is that the same people (Kim Pratt
for one) that maintain the YT Forums are staying with it as
long as they are allowed. If you have more detailed
questions I would suggest you use the ..Feedback.. form in
the link to contact those in the know.

I've bought parts from All State Ag also with satisfactory results and good follow up on questions if needed. Heard about the change last winter some time.

I believe that while on I-80, just west of Des Moines, at DeSoto, I drove right by All States Ag Parts HQ. Web site shows they have sites at Lk. Mills and Ft. Atkinson, IA too.

Wow, I had no idea about the ownership change. But I suppose it doesn't really matter, if the resources stay available. Maybe now they will have the forums upgraded. Was there any formal post announcement?

I think this post on Site Comments is as official as it got, see link. There was a post on Tractor Talk on 1/25/21 but all Kim did was post a link there to the post I linked here. The other replies there were kudos about the great forums and thanking YT support. And do not get me wrong I enjoy this site immensely. I do not think you will see much change, it will probably continue to clunk along with the two view system. Admin really must have a fear of losing a lot of posters if Classic gets the axe. And I am a Classic user, but I could learn to deal with Modern, there are quite a few good things about it. My main deal with using Classic is all the replies to one topic are viewed on one page. And sometimes it is helpful to see who is replying to who. I bet if Modern alone was used there would be a way to provide the ..who replied to who.. info.

The problem likely is properly saving and converting posts to a new forum format. I used to install, upgrade, and write forum converter scripts. Let me say, just out of the box install can be a pain.

It's been almost a year and nothing has changed, not even the parts portion of the site. Obviously, as I missed the announcement and had no indication that anything had changed until this moment.

If nothing has changed yet, I would not worry about changes in the foreseeable future.

On the question if "who replied to who" in Modern view, thousands of other forums use the same exact format, have for decades now, and it does not even come up.

My main problem with Classic is that threads are not brought to the top when new replies are posted. So the thread may be buried under several pages of dead threads with new information that I will never see. I do not want my email flooded with notifications every time someone replies to a thread.

That said I don't see where this is International specific... People blame lots of things on International Harvester... Not sure how the sale of YT is their fault.
