Question for the tractor guru's

In the FO-4 manual page 57 on timing the distributor it states after the straight edge is 1/4" from the near edge of the small mounting hole the contacts should be just starting to open, what would be the gap at just starting to open? .001-.002 etc. Mark Z

Just starting to open is when the test lamp you have connected across the points goes out :idea:
