Question on 340

A friend of mine is looking at a 340. What were any issues with this tractor even if it was running good?

Also it has a 2 point hitch and if he used a 3 point adapter, would it require a much longer PTO shaft to run a shredder?

We had one back in the day. It was a decent little tractor but always seemed a little under-powered.

Standard pto shaft will work with the shredder. If the tractor has a torque amplifier, make sure it works. Usually out of adjustment cause most owners don’t know how to adjust them properly. They are a nice little tractor. Is it the international model (utility) or Farmall (row crop)?

Check the steering components over carefully. That is their weakest point.
