Since you can buy a new one for $150 or less, going the custom machining route would soon cost more. I suspect that is about their hourly labor rate. Thanks for the reply. At my local John Deere dealer we looked at several options to no avail. I heard there is a guy on face book that rebuilds these, but I can not find him. Might have to try a machine shop to build one.
Do you know where I can get one? My dealer said there are none available anywhere.Since you can buy a new one for $150 or less, going the custom machining route would soon cost more. I suspect that is about their hourly labor rate.
His picture shows item key number 16 which he referenced part number AR27288R in his first post with the picture.Bob I'm saying you can buy a new quick hitch for $150, not that one part. BTW your picture does not include the part# for reference so I can see which part we're discussing. ie: 1,4,7, 12, etc.
So unless you're rebuilding them for a hobby, junking them and buying a new one is more senseable.
Do you have one of the old ones a shop could use as a pattern to fabricate new ones for you?Looking for an obsolete part. I am trying to restore 2 quick hitches and need new latches, part # AR27288R (#16) in he parts book. Does anyone know who makes these or where to get them. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, my bad, I skipped over the parentheses following part#. I still speed-read even though it's been 62 years since college. Having a new one made in a machine shop is still gonna be $$$.His picture shows item key number 16 which he referenced part number AR27288R in his first post with the picture.
Didn't read like he only wanted them cheap. Fabrication could be a reasonable option. Thanks, my bad, I skipped over the parentheses following part#. I still speed-read even though it's been 62 years since college. Having a new one made in a machine shop is still gonna be $$$.
I am trying to get them to factory original as they will be on a 730 and 720 tractor, mostly for show, even though they were made for the 3010's and 4010's. Thanks for the reply's.Didn't read like he only wanted them cheap. Fabrication could be a reasonable option.
