Radiator Gasket Sealer

The gasket surfaces are good on my 52 A upper and lower radiator tanks. I am installing a new core. I have a new bolt kit and the threads have been chased. I obviously do not want any leaks. What is the best sealer for the gaskets? Should I put some sealer on the bolts/studs that are exposed to the coolant (open holes)? One radiator shop recommended Mega Black or Indian Head.

Gary i have used Indian Head fore many years never had a leak no need to put on bolts

Use silicone if you ever want to take it apart again

Permatex #2, just smear it around to cover gasket.

Make your own gaskets out of thicker material then the ones sold of them.

I got a set of thick cork gaskets from Sharps and used rtv ultra black on mine with no leaks going on 3 years now.
