Radiator pressure

Put new head gaskets and rebuilt the water pump on my u and I filled the radiator today, but after 10 minutes at idle it's hosing antifreeze out the over flow in a steady stream and seems too hot. What would cause something like this to happen?

MM never pressurized radiator until 1953. Check temp at top and bottom rad hose. Should be close to equal,if not is not circulating. Radiator plugged or thermostat stuck. Did it have this problem before or after head gaskets changed? Look for air bubbles with cap off.

No air bubbles with the cap off and the radiator was just boiled and repaired, I'll check the temperature of the hoses, before I changed the headgaskets I was picking corn and towards the end of the day it started doing the same thing it's doing now

could gasket be incorrect and plugging a water passage? Check thermostat, what about a Crack in head? There is a test kit for compression in radiator.

Based on that I'm guessing compression going into cooling system.

Doesn't that thermostat need a bypass hole in it? If it is in the hose or in the upper radiator tank, in some cases the engine can get pretty hot before the thermostat is hot enough to open.

Also, i tried Zerex or something other that ethylene glycol in an R once and it boiled like crazy until I changed it back to ethylene glycol mixture.

The modern thermostats need a couple of 1/8" holes drilled into the flange so the thermostat can work, there is no "bypass" on a U

So I just ran the tractor for about 20 minutes and the top radiator hose was getting pretty hot and the lower was cold, until all the sudden the lower one can the waterpump got hot then it started spraying out the overflow again. I also did a compression test after I shut it off and the engine was hot, here are the results : cylinder 1 was 75psi, cylinder 2 was 85psi, cylinder 3 was 80psi and cylinder 4 was 80psi. I'm thinking about removing the thermostat and trying to run without it, what do you guys think?

I just pulled the thermostat out, looks like it's been in there awhile, think it's original?

I ran it without the thermostat for a hour and a half this after noon and it never got too hot and it's holding it's water, thank you guys for all the help!
