Radiator Questions

Long story short, time to replace the water pump. While apart noticing that my radiator is in sad shape. In looking at radiators on the net I'm noticing a difference
in my radiator and what they are selling. Mine has a very large "Tank" type top. What do I have here? Second who sells the best replacement units?

You have one of the original radiators That are no longer available. There are 2 different new style ones available from this site.

And unfortunately there aren't many radiator shops around anymore (at least around me) that could repair that one.

I replaced the radiators in both my 8Ns with the higher priced one. It has mounting studs in the bottom instead of using bolts. I had no problem with fitment. Order green pad that goes around the radiator neck if yours is worn out or missing.

And while you have the radiator out adjust your fan.
I just wrote this post about 5 minutes ago about adjusting the fan so it doesn't hit the shroud. Post is about a Ford 5000 but the fan/shroud is basically identical to your N.

While it is ugly I see no sign of leakage, so I've decided to straighten out the fins, clean it up, paint it. I'll replace the thermostat an give it a go. The old if it aint broke don't fix it....... New water pump is installed and I'll check the fan for straight. Stay tuned. Thanks for the info.
