I was told over the weekend at a show that you can buy 6 volt tractor radios.... Is this true and if it is true where can I get my hands on 1 from?

You could use one of these to run a 12 volt radio in your 6 volt tractor.

How do you adjust the voltage with this?

The little trim pot on the circuit board.
You will need to monitor the output voltage with a volt meter while adjusting.

Remember the weather proof fender mount tractor radios at the farm stores 30-40 years ago ? They had a little removable panel on the rear with two slide switches to set 6V-12V and pos or neg ground.

Have not seen one of those for a long time.
Also when CB was the rage 30-40 years ago, I installed one in a neighbors 6V pos ground grain truck using a little 6V to 12V converter like that . It worked good, it not only converted 6V to 12V, but also converted pos ground to neg ground for the CB radio.
