Rain down south

Well here at the lake of the Ozarks about all I got was 3 or so inches. As per the news last night there are a lot of places south of me where they closed schools because of the flood roads and some have had to move to higher ground. Table rock lake has all the flood gates wide open

I've driven a lot of roads though, down around Wright County,Douglas,Ozark etc, where there are permanent high water signs at the top of ridges with high water markers in the low spots. Gotta believe flooding's a pretty common thing in those areas.

Ya but this is also a mountain and river area so yep. I still remember back in the late 90s working on Hwy 133 south of here where they rebuilt the road so as to keep it from flooding all the time. Spent many a 10-12 hour day driving a dump truck on that road project. Old road would flood at least once a year is not more

Down in NE Arkansas i dumped 5 3/4" out over the last 3 days and the rivers are going to crest tomorrow night :D glad i live on high ground.
Its going to affect some farmers that planted the river bottoms

I'm south of St. Louis and it's been raining for days. Rainwater creeks are out of their banks. I heard below me in Cape Girardeau Mo they have had 16 inches plus in one month. I don't know how many inches we have had and I don't want to know. Trying to look at the bright side.
