Anyone else wishing they could use their tractors?

Almost got done planting 2 weeks ago and should be moving on to spraying and hay, but…. It rained a bunch, and now we are getting a pop up shower or thunder storm every single day. Might be a tenth of an inch or a full inch, only seems to hit 2-3 counties, but always my county.

Need rain to get a crop, but this gets old. Have 2 spots of corn the planted shut off I need to spot in, amounts to less than a full round, and have a small field of beans to work up and finish. So need to keep the planter available instead of packed away and get the sprayer and hay tools out.

Cut up a tree yesterday that fell into the corn field, shoes got heavy with the mud on them. Rained over night again, and the sun disappeared as a small shower approaching yet again.

They started a roundabout construction right by me May 18th, pretty big detour and they said they hope to be done end of July, if they get dry weather to work. So, we had a pretty dry spring until the big rain May 17th and ever since. Oh boy.

Feast or famine I guess. We had one of the wettest Aprils on record here on Michigan, then not much in May. When a loud storm would come through, we'd get less than 0.2 each time. We finally got a real nice half day soaker Sunday. Almost an inch. I finished corn Friday noon. Need to start spraying today. I was starting to think I complained too much in April about it raining. If anybody's behind around here, it's not weather related.
