Rain

So far we have two and a quarter inches and still raining. What this water has done to the wheat and clover is nothing short of amazing. I will get some pics tomorrow and compare them of the ones I got a couple of weeks ago. I know we had a dry windy winter, but I sure thought that we had a lot of moisture on the top, but I must have been wrong. This rain has been a real soaker and the plants love it....

Pastures are ankle high, wheat and brome hay are taking off, flowers are blooming. It's a long time since we had a spring like this, hope it sticks around.

Eric, would you believe the greenfix I planted a week ago is up out of the ground? This will be a wonderful thing if we don't get another freeze. On the other hand I am still afraid of Severe weather and a hot scorching summer!

Canoe as in a smallish boat that is paddled and does very well in streams that have very low water levels then yep. LOL I also tried to spell Kayak and could not for the life of me do it yesterday and my spell checker would not give me a clue since I guess I was not even close LOL

Boy I"m with you there! Sometimes even the simple words sail past me and I can't for the life of me figure out how to spell them. I don't know how to use "spell check" so I keep a dictionary right next to the computer. BUT......I did NOT have to look up "canoe"! lol

My computer has some sort of built in spell checker so when I spell a wrod wrong like I just did I get a red line under that word which is also the word I spelled wrong. I do not know if it is because I use Firefox or if it has something to do with windows XP

We all must be benefiting from the same storm that came in here on the west coast about 10 days ago. I travel from the coast to the foothills each week. A pair of storms came in on the coast described as "slow moving" and "stalled". It rained about 3" over 3 days. When I went to the foothills it was dry there. After about 5 days it started and we got about 3". It usually takes only about 5 hours to get here (150 mi east). We got a little snow last Saturday night. Sure was a good soaker, set us up for spring grass.

Storms have been few and far between this winter but the storms that come leave lots of rain so totals are not bad.

After 70 days without rain from late October to January, then only about an inch and half since then, we got 12 inches last week. I haven't been out to see my wheat but I'd guess it grew some.

We got about two inches here in the McPherson-Hesston-Hillsboro area. It never rained hard, just nice and slow. Time for it to dry up now so the corn can get planted.

I'm fairly sure the spell checker red squiggly line is from Firefox. All I do on a mus-spelled word is right click on the the incorrect word and try to pick out the correct spelling.

If you right click on the word with the squiggly red line it will give you choices to left click on the word you want to change the spelling on. It doesn't help if you have spelled the word wrong for what you want to say and there is another word spelled the way you spelled it.

I know how to make the spell checker work but if you can not get close it will not help you
