Raise outrigger without power

My old Case 530 backhoe won't start, so I don't have hydraulic power. I need to raise the outriggers and chain them up so I can winch the machine onto a trailer. It was suggested that I pull the control lever for the outrigger while lifting the outrigger with a farm jack, but that didn't work. Do I have any other options besides loosening the hydraulic fitting on the retract line?

Most machines with outriggers use a lock valve on the retract circuit that only opens when you actually apply pressure to retract. Helps keep the outriggers from leaking off & protects the contol valve. Even if it is accessible, it'll likely be messy. I'm afraid you'll have to be prepared to mop up some fluid my friend.
