Random Grinding Noise While Driving

Hwy22Tractor

New User
Hello all! Curious if anyone had run across this issue before. I have a 32A and after its been running for a while, it will randomly make a very loud noise that sounds line gears grinding together. It will do that until you turn it off. You can re-start it and it sounds normal, but will eventually do it again. Oil / fluids all at the correct level. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hi....Not sure what you are referring to...?

I have a 20C with a 32A front end loader. The last couple of times I have used the tractor, the front end loader hydraulics have progressively gotten weaker. I have a small leak around the hydraulic ...

So now you post ..
Hello all! Curious if anyone had run across this issue before. I have a 32A and after its been running for a while, it will randomly make a very loud noise that sounds line gears grinding together.

Is it the LOADER or the Machine the Loader is attached to that is your concern...?
Bob..

Hey Bob. Sorry for the confusion. Its the tractor, not the loader making the noise. Sounds like something transmission or drive shaft related.

I have no experience with your model of a Tractor...

However, I would drain all lubrication from the Trans,Diff,Hydraulic section /Sections and view any drain plugs with magnetic chip detectors, and contents of containers the oil is collected in.

When my MF 35 X 6 speed standard started to make a noise, I ran the machine and narrowed down the noise to the exact gear and conditions that the tractor was running at.

Try to decide if the noise is Engine related ???....or accessories driven off the engine related ??...or transmission related?? ...or Differential related??....or Hydraulics related...??

The above shall take time..i
Imagine if you seen a GP Doctor....they are going to check everything before a conclusion is reached..
Bob..

Check to see if the starter gear is retracting properly and staying retracted. You may have a broken spring.
