Old Time Plow Boys Club had this at the Classic Indoor Tractor Show in Lebanon, PA this weekend. I had this in a post a while back. Found out since then that the tractor was originally used somewhere in Canada and then to the next owner in Wisconsin before making its way to Pennsylvania. Took a few close up photos of the shields.

Do you think they were added on by the original owner or Dealer?

There was a Craigslist listing around the end of the year in central Mn for an 88 with shields and fender extensions..

That was a different tractor. The metadata on a photo I had gotten from one of their club members shows the picture was taken in 2022 when they started the restoration.
(update) I just looked at another photo and it had a date stamp on it from when the previous owner brought it to PA. It shows it as May 9, 2010.

Makes me wonder just how common those shields were on a row crop.

I was just trying to think of something what would kick up that much dust. Would a mounted corn picker do that? I've never been around one of them. I know the fan on them blows a lot of air back.

Those dust shields probably came out with the Row Crop Standard Super tractors. I think Oliver cut back on making the Standard or Wheatland tractors. I have seen them on Cockshutt 770 Row Crop Standard tractors also. I don not know if they were a factory (must have been factory on the Cockshutt) addition of field install item.
