RC case engine

I recently overhauled an R case tractor. When we started the engine, I noticed the oil pressure was over 60 psi. Is that to high? If so, how do you adjust the oil pressure on an old waukesha engine? Thanks.

This engine was done a couple of years ago. The guy that did the work and completely disassembled the tractor is no longer around but he did leave a note on the engine saying to prime the pump before
starting. I will confess that I do not know a whole lot about this particular tractor other than it was stripped down to nothing and we have it basically back together
and running. By the way, it does run great but I want to make sure we do not hurt this little thing. It has a sunburst grill and a 3 speed tranny. Is it possible reduce the pressure by shimming or removing shims on this particular pump? Also, is 60 too high? Seems like it should be lower
than that. Thanks again.

The oil pressure can be externally adjusted on the engine while running, right below the carb there should be a domed nut right above the pan flange, remove the domed not and turn the adjustment till the o p is correct, dont have the info but I would say that anywhere between 30-40 lbs would be sufficient. If the relief were stuck I would expect a wild variation cold to hot and from low to high rpm. Keep us posted.
