RC governor

Looking for recommendations of anyone that works on governors. My RC revs up to full throttle once started and won’t idle down unless under load. I’m certain it’s something in the governor. Thanks.

The guys on these forums should be able to help. 2 thoughts get a good manual/parts book governors are not to hard to work on. Next make sure of the problem like leaking intake manifold bad spring linkage binding. Parts caould be an issue.

Binding of the carburetor-governor linkage or it not being set properly to the correct length would be the first things I'd check.

Marshal,
Governors can be a little tricky, and you always wonder if yours is working as well as they ever intended to work. I have an owners manual for an R tractor and it explains how to adjust things on it, but not much information about trouble shooting. I do have a brand new one that looks like it's military surplus, but I don't think you need to go that route yet.

Not being a wise cracker here but I believe he needs to find out what is wrong FIRST.
