Picking up from my post last night, I finally got the B started today. The battery was installed right. Re-gaped the plugs. Both were coal black,sooty. Let it run for 20 min. or so then went for a ride. Started a cracking sound and black smoke from muffler then she died. Had to be towed back to house. Suggestions, please. Thanks.
