Pump installed. Bled system and hooked up my 3 bottom plow. Lift arms cycled all the way up 7 times using the Touch Control Lever with Implement Position then started coming only 1/4 way up.
If I push down slightly into the Constant Draft control position the arms will come all the way up.

Looks like will need to remove the Lift Cover and do some valve adjustments and maybe replace some o-rings.

Bottom line: I can (an did!) plow but it needs additional work.

Sounds like you made some progress. Not sure why it would work for a while and then only come up 1/4 of the way. My first thought was that the unloader valve might be sticking.

Does it lift and hold up a load OK?

Will lift all the way if push down slightly into Draft Control. Does not always hold the first time, but will drop part way.

With load up and tractor off, holds load fine.

I think you are on the right track Dave. Sounds like you might have a linkage problem, hopefully just an adjustment. While you have the top off, replace the cam follower pin and put a new o-ring and back up washer on the piston. Great time to clean everything up.

Haven't pulled apart yet, but put my 6' scrape blade behind it and played around some. Every now and then the arms will come all the way up as they should so perhaps there is a valve sticking.

I take it that the pin to replace is the one which contacts the "Drawbar Control Cam Plate"?

I do have the complete seal kit for the Lift Cover on hand, so will just give everything a good check. Is there anything I should be careful with?

Dave, maybe a picture is worth a thousand words.

There are 4 valves. Control Valve, Unloader Valve, Check Valve, and Back Pressure Valve. Its the unloader valve that usually gives some problems. While you have the top off, pull it and replace the 0-ring. Make sure you have the correct O-ring. Don't use abrasives or wire wheels while cleaning up the valves or bores. I would also make sure the control valve moves smoothly. I would leave the check and back pressure valves alone for now.

To get the unloader valve out you need to remove a plug on the back side of the cylinder. Here's how I did it.

Your service manual is your friend here. Good description of the adjustment procedure. But I'll bet yours is fine unless something is worn or bent.

Have Fun. Getting the top off is straight forward, Its just heavy and awkward. A engine hoist makes it easier. If you don't have one get some help.

Follow the alternative procedures in the F0-20 manual precisely.

If you run out of threads on the turnbuckle before reaching correct draft control spec, replace the draft control fork.

Of course you must replace the cam follower pin BEFORE making the adjustments if it shows ANY wear.
