I need some snow so I can try out this Dearborn V snow plow.

Where in Michigan do you live that you need a plow like that? UP here we get a lot of snow but not more than a pickup can plow.

That looks like the plows they used to put on the front of steam locomotives.

That looks like an old Road Commission "V" Plow I used to use when the snow got REALLY DEEP. Snow expected here in MI. on Thursday thru Saturday.
Cool set up and I am sure it will work well on the drifts. If you need shoes for the plow I know where you can get them. (Root Spring and Scraper ) in Kalamazoo, Mi.

Not a question of needing it, but these plows don"t come up for sale very often. When this one did, I jumped at the chance to get it.

I lucked out on this plow, it came complete with all skid shoes intact. The frame to mount it to the tractor also had all of the mounting brackets. Hope to make it look much better next summer when it's warmer. Thanks for the tip for parts, I'll keep them in mind.

I plan to get some pictures once we get a bunch of the white stuff. I hope to do a cosmetic restoration of the plow this summer. I was suprised when I found this one for sale, I had only seen one picture of one before finding this one. I never imagined I'd find one local to me.

Looks like it will be fun to toy around with.

I sure hate sitting on the open tractor seat trying to move snow when its cold and windy out though, but UP here it gets to be a daily occurrence. If only I could fit the tractor in the garage with a cab on it hmmmm. First big snow is falling right now, probably have to plow tomorrow .

I hope my snow blade works as well as your. I put a snow ski on a hindge to keep the blade out of the gravel. Had to beaf up the hindge. Can't wait for snow to see how well it works.
