Rear Finish mower

How common was a rear finish that didn't
use the 3 point system. Got Dad's but
with the condition of new metal & spindles
needed it'll be cheaper to go with a used
3 point finish mower. Here's what I got,
where the arms when straight appeared to
attach to a bracket under the axle. I'm
sure there is a belt bracket/gear that
needs to connect to the PTO.

Well, since we're spending your money, I'd be looking for a new used finish mower... Used equipment brings far more money than it should unless you're selling it, in which case it's worthless apparently...

Seriously, a used finish would be a lot easier than the work to put yours back in service, even if you knew exactly how that one hooks up. A TPH unit, and adding sway bars, and you're in business. Easy on, easy off. Find a 4 wheel unit so it just floats on it's own basically independent of the tractor. That makes it nicer to store as well as it can be moved around easily when needed, without the tractor.
