Rear main seal

I have posted messages concerning the leaking rear main seal and wedge seals on my 860. I think I have found the solution to the problem. Fel-pro has rear main seal and wedge seal set that will solve the leaks They are US made! Part BS 6141-3. I got mine through external_link, or they could possibly be purchased through a parts store that carries the fel-pro products. The rear main seal just looks better than the foreign made. The wedge seals are made of rubber with a steel pin that is pounded in when the seals are in place. The steel pin expands the rubber for a tight fit. Instructions must be followed very carefully. Glenn,I"ve run the tractor for about 30 minutes, and bone dry. One of the other problems was the wrong oil pump.It had the diesel oil pump puting out 100 p.s.i. Put in the right pump which puts out 45 p.s.i. That should take a lot of pressure off of the seals. I will be puting it to work next week, and give it a good shake down. Bob
