Rear step for JD tractors

Looking for the rear step often seen on 2 cylinder Deeres. It was usually mounted on the left side of the drawbar.

At 78, I need that kind of help.

Is this what your looking for? This one looks like its for right side. They made a left and a right we had them on our JD A.

There is evidence of PRINT ,on early 2 lungers wear DEERE suggested right rear side , up for what reason who knows. Later with POWER -TROL made sense as that would keep your jacket from hanging on the lever, usually breaking it off or very bent at the same time you went head first. The front left side used a lot also when mounting from that position. On 2 cyl plow tractors we have both front and rear,left side on the 60 loader tractor left and or right rear no room for step on left front PS: And for what series tractors are you looking for the STEP?, a b and g,s or 20 30 series also the 50 thur 70 used same as letter series and 20 and 30 series it was different as late had 5 FOOT PAD mounting holes, and earlier had 3 in line. They tend to RUN $50.00 and up for nice orig shape units , most people don't know the diff, 3 hole or 5.We have bought half a DOZEN over time very cheap except for SHIPPING.You will like it when you find one.

No, that is not what I am looking for. The step I need is narrower than that and for one foot, it was common on the drawbar areas on 2 lungers back then.

LA in WI, I think the attached picture of the rear step on my JD 830 is what you are looking for. My local JD dealer gave it to me back in 1987. They had a bunch of them that were taken off of 4010s and 4020s when they put cabs on them. I also have one on my JD 70. I think the JD 4010s and 4020s had 3 of these steps on a bracket. Not sure where you can find them now but maybe try your JD dealer or maybe a salvage yard. Al

The step you're looking for is available through a John Deere dealer.
The part# is F3195R, about $35.

I would modify that step to include a horizontal portion above the axle....that sloped axle is slippery.

Get a little bit of 3/4 rebar, or 7/8, and two big nuts. Make a 12-inch piece to go down, then weld on the nuts. Weld on pieces to make a step. Cheap, works great, design yuour own, grippy surface you'll never wear out. cleans easy. I did it, works good.

My B has steps like James has.........both sides...front and back of the axle.....4 steps......when the previous owner wanted on...he wanted on from right where he was standing....!

The part number you gave is what I needed. Thank you. I located one at a salvage yard for $11.00.
I found several on Ebay....priced over $50.00.
I have no talent for welding so that option is not real.
The pictures are a great help.

I have a Neighbour who slipped more than once climbing over the rear of is JD. After listing to his account of the medical procedure to stitch and repair his family Jewells I fabricated a side step. Makes adding Fuel and checking Radiator coolant a lot safer as well.

Holy moley, you could add that to the other side, then add to the front and while you are in the field you could walk back and forth, back and forth for your daily walk while the tractor chugged on it's merry way.
