looking for a new or good used pair of 12.4x28-8ply for my Jubilee that won't break the bank! Anybody know of anyplace, thanks

I will suggest buying locally if at all possible. Any kind of warranty that might be with those tires is basically worthless if you have to ship them clear across the country back to who you bought them from.

It's been a couple of years now but, I got mine from Tucker for my 8n. Cost for tire, tube and rim all put together ready to go, delivered to my door was less then the cost of just the tire locally.

Are you guys working these tractors hard on the tuckers? I plow, disk, back blade with mine pretty often.

Thanks

Rick

I seldom see used tractor tires for sale as everyone uses them until they are completely worn out due to the high cost of new ones.

I found a used tire at a local shop, they found my rim bad, had to buy new rim, lot of driving to get it. All said and done could have gotten a new one delivered from Tucker for less.

I put Tuckers on my working tractor and local US tires on my parade tractor. I loaded the Tucker tires with waste antifreeze, and have the heavy set of wheel weights on them. Its been about two years, no problems. I use them on a tree farm fixing roads, plowing deer plots, etc. not too drastic of work, but so far so good.

I've noticed that used tires are becoming a rare commodity on Craig's list, around here, or are priced like gold. I bought a half dozen tires last year for fair prices trying to mate them with some singles that I have taken off tractors.
One nearby tire service no longer gets any business from me. Over two years they ruined two very useable tires while dismounting them. One, the bead was cut through and one I watched the "skilled staff" punch a hole in the sidewall with a pneumatic tire machine. Owner tells me it was "rotten rubber". I can't afford that kind of carelessness and flip attitude.
I've also noticed that 28" 6-loop rims have shot up in price. I bought a 12" to match with one that I had bought several years ago. $138 vs $80. From the same source.
