rearaxle leaking hydrolic fluid

fluid leaking from rear axle seal seem to be hydrolic fluid also pto makes a pecking sound when under a load lift works fine.no hesitation no leak down. this is my first tractor 8n 50 model.
 
yep .. bad axle seals.

pto clicking? might be ebaring getting ready to let go.

any side to side / in / out motion ont he pto shaft ( check with engine off!! )

While you are fixing them wheel seals, you may also have worn out hubs too, if the hubs, and or axles are worn out, you will not stop it with just seals.

Luckily my axles were still good, but my hubs were worn slap out.

Check out the picture.

See how the axle splines extend past the hub? That's a no-go. The hub, axle, backing plate & bearing retainer all needed to be replaced.

Plan on at least new brake shoes & seals, like Dunk sez, & probably a hub as well.
