Here in S. Indiana a regular cow with a calf by her side brings $3,000, or more if better quality. My days raising cattle are a memory now.
Humm, perhaps this is the day for vegetarians?

I'd buy pairs for that all day long. A $2500 cull cow with a $2000 calf for $3000? Tell me where they are.

I spent many many MANY years wondering why I was fooling with cow/calves. Except I'm an idiot and I liked doing it.
Finally making a few bucks, and don't feel bad about it at all.

At these prices what are the odds cull dairy animals are being sorted
for possible select cut salvage ? Wouldn't take too much for some of
these "specials" to be made available to high volume customers.

Where do you think Golden Corall gets their steaks? Old cows, with a commercial tenderizer. Least that is what my Meat Science professor at MU stated. But that was decades ago. I am old.

Thats a definite possibility in the area its happening
Can promise if you're not local you wouldn't want to get caught there with a stock trailer after dark.
