Wanted red diamond 450 or 501 engine. Please let me know if you have one or where I can get one. Thanks in advance.

I tried to email you, but this site wouldn't let me do it. Anyway, I have an old 6 cyl gasoline engine from a Reo truck. How do I know if I have (or if I don't have) the engine you are looking for?

Front left side of the engine will have the model number such as RD 450 or RD 501 and the serial number stamped in block just below the head on the spark plugs side. Hope this helps.

Sorry, my engine says OH-170 on it.

OH 170 1959-63 331 Cu.in. 4 1/8 X4 1/8 .170 HP 297 torque. REO buit it. Least that is what the Motor's Manual says.

Thanks for the info. Actually, the engine is still in the truck. Without dragging out the title from the fire-safe box to look up the exact year, it's a stub-nosed REO semi tractor. It's too pretty to scrap, so I guess it will by my project in a year or two.
