what is a close red paint I could get to paint my wheels on a super 88(1957)----Keith

When you say close match, are you looking for rattle can paint that's real close? I painted a 60 and had my paint custom mixed at the Napa warehouse store in Des Moines. The paint code came from the HPOCA web site if I remember correctly.

Are you looking for paint codes or just a close color? If you are looking for paint codes I can look for some tomorrow or others on here will know also I have also listed some before if you can find them in the archives. Agco still has a Southbend Red part#20-7002255 red only available in a rattle can though I'm not sure if that was an Oliver color or a MM color off hand.

Go to TSC and grab a gallon of Massy Ferguson red. Close enough.

Mostly correct would be Martin Senour 99L-3752 or Dupont B8590 or as said before TSC Massey Red. Oliver red is not a glaring red but is a subdued red.Rustoleum Farm Equipment Red is close also.
Big job for rattle cans,I would opt for a spray gun finish.

Back 15 years or so the local Oliver dealer carried IH red for the wheels. May not be correct but I never had anyone tell me that is was the wrong color. They sure took me to task for painting the center ridge on the hood Oliver yellow.
