My 69 4000 had the chains/turnbuckle nut originally.
It was like most, no matter how much I oiled the threads it would be a bear to adjust if it had sat for a few weeks.
Saw these 3/4 x 6" turnbuckles on Amazon, looks like they oughta work.
$27 each, mounted up pretty good to the factory hardware.
Threads are kind of sloppy, about what you would expect on something this price.
Had to notch the eyebolt on the lift arm for the eye to fit.
And the hex on the ends of the turnbuckle body has raised lettering.
Grind it off, you'll have your adjustable wrench set to the flats with no lettering and it won't fit over the letters. Annoying
