relining gas tank

This is a question for those of you who reline your own tanks. Is the small outlet hole at the bottom of the tank large enough to drain out the excess?. Can't drain it out the top because of a lip inside. How do you plug the holes when you coat the inside of the tank?

I save those plastic plug caps off everything and use those or can use corks or tape or old cap or pipe plug. Need those back out after draining so it will dry out.

POR-15 is the best, that red stuff will come back to haunt you like a nightmare!

Por - 15 is about the best I have found. It's pricey, but better quality. You can get it from a lot of places. I think I got the last bunch from Summit Racing. See link below...JB
