Remote hydraulics

Hi,

I’m after some advice on a remote hydraulic system that I have recently fitted on my MF35.

I have hydraulic power to the 3 point system but when I change the lever over to allow the use of the remote system I don’t have any hydraulic pressure or oil in the hoses but I do have oil in the system.

Therefore do I need to have more hydraulic oil/fluid in the tractors system?

Please see photo of the remote system:

Also does the tap need to be open or closed.

Sorry to sound clueless but new to all this, thanks in advance.

Do you have the three point lift lever in the constant pumping position?

Hi, yes I do the 3 point lifting system runs ok. When I isolate it to use the remote system is when I don’t have any fluid reaching the appliance attached.

I am going to guess you might not be located in the US or Canada based on where you got your valve, sparpartsholland is a Dutch company. There is a place in your profile where you can add a location that will show when you post. It can be helpful in reducing answers to somethings that vary by one's location in this wide world.

The picture below is from sparpartsholland's site and gives a bit of info. The tee handle screw on the side appears to set the B spool for single acting cylinder use. On a MF valve it would turn fully out for single acting cylinder hooked to the B1 port and fully in for a double acting cylinder which would be hooked to both ports.

When you installed the valve did you replace the O-rings and backup rings on both ends of the tube that fits into bottom of the valve? Did it go into the port in the pump and the port in the valve when you reinstalled it?

With the diverter valve arm straight up is that where the three-point hitch works correctly, using the three-point hitch quadrant control of the tractor?

Do you have the tractor's quadrant control set to constant pumping when the diverter handle is turned down?

Hi Jim,

Thank you for your answer.

I will change my location as suggested.

Yes I put all O rings in place and ensured the tube had them fitted too. I have use of the 3 point linkage arms it’s only the remote hydraulics that seem to be the problem. I may remove and re-install as it’s got to be something simple. When you mentioned tractor quadrant control do you mean the 3 point lever (up/Down)? If so yes when I divert the system to remote use I put the lever all the way up in the up position if that’s makes sense?

Thanks for your reply.

Colin.

Do you have the MF35 Operator's Manual? It explains the stock tractor control positions.

The draft control lever needs to be in the full up position.

Hi Jim,

I do have a manual but it doesn’t show the picture you uploaded. I did read that it was the up lever once in the remote auxiliary mode but nothing about the draft, so I will have a look at it this weekend.

I really appreciate the help and advice.

Where are you located in Maine?

Regards,

Col.

In the Farmington area.

The MF 35 manual I have was downloaded from the Scrib'd website. It shows a MF publication number of 690495M3.

Ok I’ll look into getting it downloaded.

Farmington 👍🏻 I used to live in Brunswick quite a few years back. Great times great people.
