Remove rotor?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to remove the rotor from my side-mount distributor 8n. The figures that I have show a clip but I don't see one on mine at all. Would it just be pressed on somehow? It is electronic ignition, if that makes any difference.

Not pressed on so much as rusted on.... just pull

Ah, you were right. It was rusted on, thanks. This is my first time going through the ignition on this tractor so I wasn't sure how hard I should reef on it.
