Removing 172D injectors

Hello again. I am trying to pull the head on my engine to check cylinder wear, rebuild head, etc. My experience has been with gasoline engines, so in over my head a bit. I have the service manual, which states to remove the the two bolts, use the special tool and pop the injectors out. I do not have the special tool, nor have any idea where to get one and need to pull the injectors to get to the bolt. I am working on my parts engine as practice before tackling the engine in the 861. Anyone have tricks on pulling the injectors? Is it easy to break them? I have tried lightly pulling on them, etc, but no go. Get more physical?
I have tried swearing and and an occasional thrown wrench just to make sure I am hitting all my bases. Both of those did not work.

Thanks. Jason

I bolted a very large washer to the top of the injector and then carefully pried upwards with a crowbar. I worked back and forth from one side to another until they became free.
