I have oil leaking out the pto shaft at the rear of the tractor. It has new seals but I don't think the O-ring was replacedI was looking at the repair manual and it looks like I can remove the PTO shaft without splitting the tractor. Has anyone done this without any difficulty in getting the splines to line up with the spider?

Thanks for the link, I see that the post from "Crewchief" was incorrect, "Jake4" had the correct info. I'm putting his post below.

"If you are talking about the rear hub in which the stub is inserter it can be removed easily. Remove the allen screws whick lock the shaft in place then take the beariln and seal and remove the entire PTO shaft then drive the 1/4 roll pin or pin our. The hub may have to be
pressed out, there is an o ring set in a recess tis should be replaced, the the hub is replaced and a 1/4 roll pin inserted. The shaft is carfully slid back into the PTO assy and the recess for the set screws lined up[this reqires 2 persons. I replaced one of these hub 3 months
ago by my self and took an extra day because no one was available. No split or other parts have to be removed. LOL"
