Replacement Rims for a Case 530

I have a 530 that has the power adjust rims. They are severly rusted due to calcium chloride. I"d like to replace them with a set of pressed steel rims. Does anyone have a source for rims that will fit these axles? I"m located in SW PA. Tire size is 13.6-28.

I have purchased new rims from M.E. Miller tire and you can try to find a Titan Distributor in your area. Titan may be the largest maker of rims and wheels

My 530 parts manual shows the one piece wheel as 24"

I definetely want to stick with the 28" so I can reuse the tires. Still haven"t heard anything from DonL.

You can get flat bottom rims to weld the old rails on to, but only consider this if you have the tools, time and space available to devote to the project. Believe me, you will be ready to spend the money you thought you saved on new power shift rims while you're in the middle of doing this.

A couple of other avenues you might want to try:
1.) Tisco (owned by Woods).
2.) A&I Products (aftermarket parts company that's owned by John Deere).

Also... there's always your Case CE (Construction Equipment) dealer, who can also help you out. Not much changed on those old tractors (Ag or Construction) for many many years. Case 530's and 580's had a lot of similarities.

If your local Ag dealership is worth a darn (doesn't matter what brand of tractors that they sell) they should also be able to help you out as well.

I'm rethinking replacing the power adjust rims. I got the bad one off however I can't get the clevis out of the bracket that bolts to the disc. I thought the clevis should just fall out but it won't budge. Tried heat, hammers, pipe wrench PB Blaster and nothing. Those brackets aren't threaded, are they?

Eric, online parts diagrams seem to indicate the the clevis as you call it, "jack screw" as Case refers to it is only threaded to be adjusted outward by the nut. Below that is simply an unthreaded part of the shaft extending into the casting which should slide freely (when new). May not want to wail on it with a BFH for fear of busting the casting, vast amounts of PB Blaster and careful application of heat over period of days should get these loose. Don't try to rush this, you will only break hard to find parts doing that.

When I was doing my big 400 PA wheels this summer, it took me a week and three cans of PB Blaster, and a replacement adjustable wrench from Craftsman before both sides were workable again. The plus side was that I lost 10 lbs in the process.

Eric, go to this link http://www.external_link/ and click on the CaseIH parts catalog link from there. You have to go through a dealer website to get to the Case Parts online website. Once there, enter your model number and pick from the choices presented, you'll see at least three 530 series tractors with serial number range breaks. Click on the proper one for your tractor then click on the figure listing tree view. Sounds more complicated than it is. Good luck with it, you'll be glad you did it right when you are done.

Look for a TITAN tire dealer or distributor. TITAN makes a lot of the rims now in use and many replacement rims.
