Does anybody make the rubber torsion seat springs for the 930 that last??

I was told by one of the guys at Elmer's repair that there is one company that makes them and they had a bad batch of rubber on the last go round, supposedly they are going to make a new batch at some point so they'll last longer. He said the ones they have now would only be good for a show tractor, not a working tractor, this was about a month ago and I haven't checked with them since.

Enough failures on 300 to 630 rubber torsion springs (replaced by warranty) convinced me to add help under the seat to absorb severe shocks from ruts, etc. I stuff open cell foam blocks under the seats and ended that problem. On my show/parade tractor, I painted the foam to match and no one notices.

thanks for the info, dad got a couple sets from Elmer a year two ago and they are absolute trashed already, they are on a short hood 830 and an 800 but same basic thing, it probably doesn't help that he's pushing 300 pounds but still, the rubber ripped, I'll have him talk to Elmer
