My D is 12 volt, and I made the mistake of putting in a 6 volt switch. Oops. The resistor in it doesn't have enough resistance to affect the field, so it puts out 17+ volts, and my batteries overcharge and die an early death. (They also undercharge at idle.) I haven't been able to find the correct 12-volt switch (AF688R) anywhere--only 6 volt ones. Does anyone know where to get one for 12 volts? OR, could someone tell me how much resistance, in OHMS, the 12 volt switch has, so that I can add a resistor to the line to make this one work?
Thanks
