here is the brothers super wd9 he had our neighbor paint. took a year and a half and 300 hrs of work. used the ih 2150 paint with hardener. he did a very good job basically museum quality job. he dont have anything fancy there either. lots done outside also. even some of the painting he did out side in the hot weather and not a bug or fly on it.

This is not criticism but a question for the "9" experts...

I hear from time to time that there is "no such thing" as a "Super" W9/WD9. There is a Super WDR9 (rice special) and that's it.

Not a expert, but they made super WD9, super WDR9 and and a WR9S tractor in the same time frame. WR9S used the same size gas
engine as the W-9. C-350 was used in some 600 and 650 tractors, some were factory LP.

well thats not quite right. the standard 9 series have the 335 cid engine, both gas and diesel. then in 1953 once the super's came out the
bore was increased to 350 cid ( 4 1/2 inch bore) there was even an over bore kit with a bore of 4 5/8 . the gas model never did get called a
super or get the bore increase. all the others were changed to supers. the supers had about 15 h.p. increase to 65 h.p. from around the 50
h.p. the 600 and 650 also used the same 350 cid engine till they they were replaced by the 660. i have a 1951 standard wd9 , and a 1953 super
wd9 , super wdr9 and the 650. the old wd9 is like a dog compared to the super.

i also forgot to say when the supers came out the rear tires also changed from 16.9 x34 to 18.4 , with different hubs for the h. p. increase. the gas models never had 18.4 rear tires from factory.
