Restoring Tractor Tires ??

Is There A Product That Will Make My Tires Look Like New Rubber??? I'am Restoring A JD 1010 Diesel And The Rear Tires Are In Good Shape But I'd Like To Make Them Look Nicer.... Any Ideas

Someone once posted that this bunch sold a tire paint that worked good. I don"t know, I"ve never used the product.

I bought a tractor tire paint from Sharp's. Made the tires look like new but without looking like they had Armor All on them. Mixed it with water and just brushed it on. Cleaned up with water. It doesn't wash off though. It by no means fills in weather checking, but it did make the tires look much better. No longer looked weathered. A bottle will last you a life time as well.

You can just wipe them with lacquer thinner and a rag (takes a few rags), looks great.

I've heard the Miller stuff fills in light weather checking. Is this so?

With Miller BlackTire Paint (BTP), there is a lot of back-filling of weather cracks. But the larger cracks will still be visible. To put it another way, Miller's BTP goes a long way toward making weather cracking less of an irritant!

A really big advantage with this stuff is that tires with prior overspray are made to look like new in the process. The main prerequisite is to have the tire as clean as possible - surely free of all debris that will come off - so that you are painting the tire and not dirt! I also found that you should not be afraid to thin this stuff - it IS concentrate, and then also do some experimentation on an old tire before tackling the ones you want to pretty up! (PatB)
