retractable ratchet strap

Anybody have any experience with the new Erickson retractable ratchet straps? The strap retracts on the reel like a tape measure. I saw them on a tool show on TV. Where do you buy them? I looked up Erickson's website and the strap is illustrated there but it looks like they're wholesale only so I'll have to find a retail website or dealer somewhere. All of the retail websites that carry Erickson fastening products don't list the retracting straps yet.

This would be the cat's meow for my little S-10. Seems like I'm always driving home from town with something long sticking out the back, cinched down with a strap with the tail blowing in the breeze cause it came untied. Jim

I roll the tail up and position it on top of the strap, wrap black vinyl or duct tape around the whole thing and head on down the road. Never had one come loose. When it is time to unstrap, get out your pocket knife and cut the tape.

I bought some at Tractor Supply Company last week .. two 6 foot and one 10 foot.

I really like them, and used them all last night - worked great. I also saw some at Menard's, but they had a different brand name than Ericksonmfg. In the past I hated ratchet straps and always tried to make do with cam lock straps, but these ratchets work as easy as the cam locks and provide much more force. Dave
