Retractable Rollers on Workbench

Anyone purchase or make retractable rollers so you can easily move workbench around then drop it to stay in place? Would appreciate all thoughts.

We have some rolling tables at work that have a foot operated floor lock brake.

Put it on the end with the swivel casters and it will lock it securely in place.

I've seen some videos of DIY made. Some fairly elaborate some simple. I like simple but not sure how well they would work. The wife may need to use this so need it to be used friendly.

Xs 2 on the foot operated lock. I built two tables with those on them, work well.

I bought some casters from Amazon that fold up,they work good and are cheap.

Amazon sell casters that will drop the legs on the floor.
About $10 each. I think these casters are 3 or 4 inch wheels.
Small wheels are a PAIN. Go big.

Thx Geo are you saying 3-4 inch wheels are too small or big enough?

I like bigger 3 or 4 or bigger.
Bigger wheels do fine on the dirt on my pole barn floor.

Has been pretty low on the priority list for me. I have been going to use a pair of car tires with a lever latch so I could push down on the lever and latch it under a hook so I could then lift up on the lever handle to pull a bench around for use. Then just push down and unlatch to let the legs down on the ground to hold it still. Would roll over things easily with tires that big on it.
