Retrofit internal aux pump

I have a early MF165 with multipower and live pto. Is it possible to replace the multipower-only pump with the combined multipower/aux pump like some models came from the factory with? Just wondering if this an option rather than the crank driven pump on the front.

On models with the combined pump, did the aux outputs come out above the stand pipe where many of us now have the manual selector valve?

I can live with the low volume of the 3pt pump, it is the switching between loader/3pt/remote that drives me crazy. I have power beyond on the loader valve, but I really want 3pt and remote at the same time.

Yes

No, oil exits and returns via fitings that pass thru the PTO shifter plate.
I did this conversion on my 135 Orchard(no multi-power)I believe you would have 2 separate pumps one for multi-power and the other for the aux hydraulic pump. You still lose all hydraulics when the clutch is in all the way. Have you considered the front mount pump? It would have much greater capacity and it would be "live" as long as the engine is turning. You could also have power beyond thru the loader valve for more hydraulics. I would be less expensive also. Unless you already have all the correct parts. Just my 2 cents...Gary

I don"t know if this has ever been done but the 200 series tractors had a higher capacity pump one of those might fit in.

Also, you might want to make sure what pump you have as there was one to supply the pressure control.

I've been inside to rebuild the belly pump and there is definitely just a multipower-only pump.

Searching the archives here seems to indicate the front mount is the way to go, the independence from the clutch is definitely a plus.

Does anybody know if the bits and pieces for a front mount pump (less the pump itself I guess) are available from a Massey dealer? I have found specialty parts are a serious PITA up here in the great white north. Even if you can find someone who ships to Canada (the ytmag store does not!), you get eaten alive by shipping, customs fees and taxes.
