Rewiring a 77

I have a 1950 77 gas. I purchased a new wiring harness from Korves Oliver. It has a black wire that I have no idea where it goes. The instructions call it a safety wire. The wires extends out the top end near the dash and also at the mid point near the fuse block.
Your thoughts?

This is only a wild guess, but it could be there for the owner to use as desired: for a key switch; a hidden anti-theft interlock; or a safety switch locking out the starter if the clutch is not depressed. Contact the harness manufacturer or check the installation instructions to find out for sure.

Could it be for the dash light? I have a new harness from them and that s where it goes. I just haven t connected it yet.

They do sell a safety wire that is black that is separate from the ignition harness. I think it goes from the starter button to the amp meter and has a fuse in it. That is something Korves came up with and not original equipment.

Talk to Mark. He can help you with all that.
