Right side brake problems????

I put all new brake shoes and hardware on my "51 8N and I noticed when I adjusted them that the right side is adjusted out a lot farther than the left. And the pedal does not feel as solid as the left side. Feels soft. It's not real bad but there is definitely a difference.

Could the feel be because there is one less return spring on the right side?
