Rim clamp removal

I'm trying to get the front rim off of a Massey Ferguson 285 the rim clamps seem to be rusted solid on there. Any tips or tricks to getting these off?

A heavy bar and hammer to knock them loose is what I use.

Took your advice and also sprayed them down with PBlaster. Took some elbow grease and hard licks with a 2lb maul but it is off. Thank you for the reply
