will modern 8 lug rims off a 3/4 ton chevy/gmc fit a 1965 8 lug gmc , for example will a 2000 year truck rim fit the 65 , thanks

the 8 lugs will fit between the 2 but the backspacing is way different also i dont know if the front drums will clear the new wheel i did that with a 6 luger when i tightened the bolts the wheel got in a bind with the front brake drum before it was seated on the hub surface , it wouldn"t go all the way on in other words
