Question for all you Sherman transmission guys. Is the seal
that goes around the shaft to shift the transmission the same
in a step-up & combination? Also the input seal the same as
the input seal for the transmission? I have read up on the step
ups bit no little about the combo.

Not the same. The combo shifter shaft takes a C/R 6720 seal. Front input shaft seals are the same.
