RocketSocket Extraction Socket????

Do any of you have experience, good/bad/so-so) with ROCKETSOCKET | Made in USA | Extraction Socket Set | Remove Damaged, Frozen, Rusted, Rounded-Off Bolts, Nuts & Screws | 13 Pieces, Impact Grade | 100% American Steel

I can't say about that brand specifically but I have some of those type sockets of other names. They will usually work on stripped or rounded fasteners. (Right hand thread only, haven't seen any for left hand, but not many left hand threads around.) As far as frozen fasteners I don't think they are any better than a regular 6 point socket, unless the fastener corners are rounded off and the regular socket is slipping.

I have a set that I think are Sears branded that I was given 10-15 years ago. They have worked very well for me. I drive them on with a good sized hammer.

No Rockets I have snap-on and Irwin about 50 different sizes they will get you out of a jam fast if you have the correct size...

I call them Twist Sockets.

They work pretty well for rounded heads, but not miracle workers.

If the head twisted off because the bolt was bottomed or seized, they probably won't.

Thanks for all of your inputs. I'd heard of their kind but never the company. I ordered a set (Woot had them for $20 off).

This is my snap-on set goes from 4MM to 19 MM includes all the haft sizes... Its got me out quire a few jams... You do not want to know how much they cost $$$$$

Ive got a small craftsman kit like Hobos Irwin. Saved my bacon trying to replace a ps bypass line on my Expedition. Drove it on with a hammer and I was able to get the crumbled flare fitting tube nut out without removing the rack. Theyve been sitting unused in my toolbox for a few years, glad I bought them back when they were on sale.

Like a Snap On man told me several years ago. Good tools aren't cheap and cheap tools aren't good. He
was a salesman that stopped at my shop just after a wrench had slipped and busted my knuckles. When I
sold out I had over 15000.00 worth of Snap On small tools and equipment.

That type of socket also works great to bust off locking lug nuts. Bought a used F250 and all four wheels had one locking lug nut but of course I did not get a key. Also busted off the lock on the spare tire under the truck. Worked great.
