I just sheared another roll pin between the outside lever and the link to the hydraulic control valve on my 350. Nothing is bound up. I lined up the split in the pin with the direction the shaft rotates. I'm not banging on the lever. I had replaced it recently enough that I remembered to take the dash out, without resorting to YT.

Did IH spec a different type of pin between the control shaft and lever ? It is hard to unhook the disk if it is sitting on the cylinder.
Thanks
Greg

Often a double roll pin is used. This greatly increases the shear capacity. You might find one that fits inside the one that fits the shaft.

IH used true "roll pins" that are almost solid due to being a coil of steel, not a "C."

True roll pins are impossible to find in my experience.

Finding another smaller pin to fit inside the larger pin is another fool's errand. Never found two that nest together without stretching the bejeezus out of the outer pin, making it too large to fit the intended hole.

Spirol pin is the term. Is was
surprised when I found a display drawer
if them recently in a large hdwe. store
after I'd specially ordered some by part
number at the $$$ CNH dealership.

(quoted from post at 12:33:57 08/25/22) You install the larger pin first and then add an additional smaller pin inside the
larger.

I know. I've never found a smaller pin that fits tightly enough in a larger pin to not fall out.

The only way to make them fit is to drive the smaller pin in before installing the larger pin. That expands the larger pin too much to fit the hole.

Mc Master Carr has them for 1/8 inch by 1 inch long 100 for $30.00 I know more than you need but plenty of replacements and probably cheaper than the dealer by a long sight.
