When I started to refurbish my Case 310E almost 30 years ago I bought 4 new Intertrac bottom rollers for it (takes 8). Never rebuilt the undercarriage 'til about 5 years ago. Checked out my nice heavy Intertracs and they wouldn't roll! Put 'em in a vise, tried to turn, and the rubber holding the face seals was turning in the housing. Took one apart under a press and the face seals were seized to each other. Ended up buying a complete set of cheaper ones. Different manufacturers have slightly different dimensions too, FYI, but still fit.
Now, good partsmen probably know this, but I guess if you're going to store parts with face seals in them, it's a good idea to turn them periodically to keep them oiled.
Question is, can you somehow knock those face seals apart, maybe de-rust them (Evapo-Rust?), and still re-use? New face seals, if you can source them would probably be most of the price of new rollers!
